Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra to hold free concert | Arts & Culture

The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra will present a free concert to the public Sunday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m.
The concert will be at St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral in Downtown Jackson.
The concert will include diverse selections spanning the late Classical, Romantic and early Modern periods.
The program will feature "Finlandia" by Jean Sibelius; "Concertino No. 4" by Ferdinand David, with Joel Grizzelle, as trombone soloist; and "Swan Lake Suite" by Peter Tchaikowsky.
The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra is made up of about 40 non-professional Mississippi musicians. It has been offering classical chamber music free of charged since 1984.
MCO offers three concerts each season under the direction of Artistic Director Wayne Linehan and Concertmaster Bob McNally.
