Water line break pounds south Jackson home
News

JACKSON, MS (WLBT)- A water line break in south Jackson sent torrents of water on to a home. Workers used a backhoe to block the water from hitting the house on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Sennett Street.

Before that trick, the stream pounded the home and nearby ditches filled with water.

Jackson water and sewer employees were eventually able to turn the line off and repair it. The homeowner wasn't there at the time of the break.

A Jackson spokesman says it's unclear how a two inch water line separated from an eight inch main line.
